JOB REQUIREMENTS: JOB ID: 21174 WORKING TITLE: University Reservations & Event Manager UW SYSTEM OFFICIAL TITLE: Event Manager POSTING DATE: August 28, 2024 ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: The University Reservations & Events Manager is responsible for the leadership and day-to-day management of all programs and services supporting events and functions in the University Union and supported areas on the campus. This position serves as a main campus administrator for our campus reservation system. This position assists with the development and implementation of University Union policies, procedures, and goals as they relate to the mission of the Union. This position reports to the Associate Director - Union Operations, and works cooperatively with other professional staff and students in accomplishing the operational, programmatic, services, and student development goals for the organization. This position will meet with internal and external customers to plan successful events and engage with the client before, during and after each event. This position will work, in collaboration with others, to create a safe and inclusive environment for all UW Green Bay students where all feel a sense of place and pride. This position includes the following responsibilities: -Establishes and executes day-to-day operational functions and goals of events to align with existing strategy. -May exercise supervisory authority, including hiring, transferring, suspending, promoting, managing conduct and performance, discharging, assigning, rewarding, disciplining, and/or approving hours worked of at least 2.0 FTE or equivalent employees. -Serves as primary campus contact for electronic calendaring system (EMS). -Establishes and sustains relationships with internal and external stakeholders. -Identifies, proposes, and implements new or revised unit operational policies and procedures. -Monitors the budget and approves expenditures.
