JOB DUTIES: Set-up all tool as required and assigned by supervisor in accordance to blueprint specifications and provide the necessary counters, stands, racks, chutes, and accessories necessary to run the operation. Return jigs and fixtures removed from machines to area assigned in jig room and make out a jig and fixtures report as to the quality of the last piece run from such jigs or fixtures. Make periodic checks and adjustments of fixtures and jigs in operation to insure product quality. Inform supervisor of failure on part of machine and fixture to produce per blueprint. When directed by the supervisor, the set-up operator is to instruct operators in the correct method of operating a job and method of checking. When directed by the supervisor, the set-up operator is to instruct other set-up operators, or trainees on the procedure of setting up or production on any job. Perform production work when called upon to do so, either during the regular work week or on overtime.
