Safety Coordinator

Full-time, Salaried Non-Exempt (JBS is a competitive equal opportunities employer. Wages vary depending on education and experience).

Shift/Work Days: Day Shift

Job Summary

  • This position needs to be courteous and professional at all times as they will be communicating with internal and external personnel.

  • This person will greet and organized Occupational Health traffic (site specific)

  • Data Entry and tracking of all Supervisor Expectation Program(Including line meetings, daily PPE verifications, safety observations, training status, hearing tracking, and investigation reports)

  • Log and trend all Safety Observation forms

  • Log and maintain all Safety Training material (Including chemical specific, machine specific, affected – annual training,

  • Maintain and update Safety Communications throughout the facility

  • Answer the main phone line and take messages for department personnel.

  • Assist with assorted special projects.

  • Daily work tasks are rather structured with deviations occurring only when special projects are required to be completed.

A successful candidate must have the following qualifications.

• Strong leadership skills

• Have Safety as a top priority

• Experience Supervising in an industrial setting

• Be able to multi-task in a fast-paced atmosphere

• Preferred Strong Beef Manufacturing Background.

• Strong computer skills.

** The successful candidate must be able to work some Saturdays during times of increased beef production.

Microsoft Office proficient

Must be able to read, write, and speak English bi-lingual preferred
