WSP is currently initiating a search for an US IT AV Technology Analyst in our Ephrata, PA office or other locations considered depending on new hire’s work experience.
The US IT AV Technology Analyst is an essential team member that supports our US business operations. The primary goal of this role is to Design and implement solutions for Audio Visual (AV) Technologies and help maintain a portfolio of AV systems and applications. Responsible for day-to-day support, preventative maintenance, quality assurance of AV infrastructure, and associated components. Provide operational support and troubleshoot AV and control systems. The role requires excellent communication skill as you will work as a liaison between global & regional WSP IT, Facilities and our outsourced IT partners and the extended employee business team. WSP employs over 60,000 business partners globally. WSP USA employs over 10,000 business partners working within the continental US, Alaska, Hawaii, Guam, Puerto Rico as well as internationally.
Your Impact
Coordinate installation and ongoing maintenance of AV infrastructure
Communicate potential improvements and limitations of different AV technologies to end users, Workplace, Facilities and IT teams
Communicate issues to the larger team, vendors, and other IT teams
Lead and document end user trainingo Create and maintain end user training guides
Explore new emerging technologies in the AV spaceo Coordinate AV standards with Global Team o Provide estimated costs of alternate and emerging technologies
Identify opportunities and make recommendations for a better end user experience
Maintain comprehensive inventory of components and manage maintenance providers associated with the AV systems across the US
Support Facilities, Workplace, and IT by overseeing design of AV systems that are room specific for all new sites as well as retrofits in existing conference rooms
Troubleshoot conference room issues with AV components and associated computer hardware and software
Communicate the contractually established IT service level agreement expectations to our business partners, venders and partners.
Ensure our business partners needs are understood and heard throughout the escalation process and track escalations status.
Assess impact and prioritization of escalated IT issues and be capable of distilling sometimes complex situations into summaries that are meaningful to senior IT and business executives when necessary.
Who You Are
Required Qualifications
5+ years’ experience in related technology or communications field.
High School Deploma or GED
Previous audio/visual design and installation experience, to include specification and installation of displays, speakers, microphones, control systems, and supporting infrastructure.
Strong customer service skills
Strong troubleshooting skills
Must be comfortable working in a fast-paced and occasionally stressful environment
Must have strong oral/written communications skills
Must be organized and detail-oriented
Must be able to work remotely while maintaining communications and project updates to the various US based stakeholders
Preferred Qualifications:
College Degree in related field (Information Systems, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, etc.)
Experience with Crestron and other Microsoft Teams Rooms systems
Experience with AV enabled conference rooms using Microsoft Teams
Knowledge of room control systems and related components
Knowledge of device monitoring, data collection and reporting systems
Crestron FusionRV a plus
Knowledge of Crestron systems used in conjunction with WebEx, GoToMeeting, Zoom and other video teleconferencing systems
Understanding of capabilities and programming AV systems equipment room equipment
Experience with digital signage and related components
Experience documenting new build specifications and working with facilities/construction teams
Experience providing training and developing training documentation for end users
