COUNTY OF BROWN Grounded Cafe Specialist - LTE As Needed in GREEN BAY, Wisconsin

JOB REQUIREMENTS: JOB SUMMARY Supports the operations of the Grounded Caf including an integrated congregate dining site, and mobile caf. Participates in the development, implementation, marketing and ongoing growth and success of the caf model. This position is an \'as-needed\' position to help out up to 20 hours per week. Essential Duties Organizes, coordinates, and monitors the operations of Grounded Caf or mobile cafe in various community locations. Assures the Grounded Cafe or mobile cafe is welcoming and supportive of customers. Greets customers, explains the products and programs offered at The Grounded Caf. Actively creates a bridge between caf/mobile cafe and congregate meal customers to assure everyone is comfortable and feels welcome. Is an ambassador of ADRC programs and caf products and assists with outreach and promotion. Adheres to food handling and service meets Serving Safe Food guidelines and Health Department License requirements. Supports food truck operations including inventory, food preparation, sales, services and staffing. Facilitates ADRC interface with the food truck program assuring outreach and education are available. Participation in development and preparation of menu items, following customer feedback, maintaining high standards of quality, food safety, and hygiene. Maintains safety, sanitation, care and order of work areas and equipment, including storage areas, coolers and freezers. Reports repair and maintenance needs to ADRC Facilities Manager. In partnership with the Grounded Caf Leads, Support Team, ADRC Program Manager and Nutrition Manager, recruits, orients and supports volunteers to assist in caf or mobile caf events and daily operations. Supports and mentors senior aides, WISE workers, students, volunteers, etc. at the cafe or mobile cafe. Records accurate participation and volunteer hours along with other program documentation. In accordance with Aging Network and Older American\'s Act guidance, ensures that customers have the opportunity to contribute for the publicly funded meal and that contributions are handled according to agency policies. Follows the ADRC money handling policy and ensures practices are followed by all volunteers and staff in the caf. Reconcile cash drawers at the beginning and end of shifts to ensure that amounts are correct and make sure there is adequate change for next day sales. Reconcile cash in change safe weekly. Helps ensure accurate inventory of products and needed supplies at the caf or mobile cafe. Helps support point of sale software and assures staff and volunteers are trained in its use. Purchases food and supplies as needed, receives deliveries by checking food and material goods against specifications, purchase order and invoices. Participates in the planning and goal-setting efforts of ADRC. Participates as a team player to further agency goals. Has a \"Duty to Report\" during a community emergency/disaster according to the ADRC Emergency Preparedness Plan. ***** OTHER EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS: Knowledge of safe food handling practices. Knowledge of hygiene and sanitary regulations governing the handling, preparation and serving of food. Knowledge of safety hazards while working with kitchen equipment and chemicals in the work environment. Knowledge of standard measures. Knowledge of report preparation and file maintenance and inventory practices Knowledge of MSOffice Computer Program office suite. Ability to have a flexible schedule to include evenings and weekends. Ability to operate a cash register, point of sale equipment and other concession devices. Ability to operate a motor vehicle (van/trailer combo), when needed. Able to work under pressure during a busy lunch rush while maintaining the highest food/product quality. Ability to understand and practice the confidential nature of the position. Ability to engage and lead volunteer staff. Ability to perform high levels of ustomer service. Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing. Ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with staff, customers, volunteers and the general public. Ability to make decisions in accordance with recognized policies and procedures. Ability to relate to the customers and act as an advocate. PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Lifting 40 pounds maximum with frequent lifting and/or carrying of objects weighing up to 25 pounds.
