FedEx Logistics Associate, Supply Chain Analyst in Green Bay, Wisconsin

General Summary

The Supply Chain Analyst Associate leads customer-driven analytical projects, to include supply chain network optimization, facility location analysis, delivery service analysis, carbon footprint analysis, inventory analysis, transportation analysis, and other ad hoc analyses as required.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Leads customer-driven analytical projects, to include supply chain network optimization, facility location analysis, delivery service analysis, carbon footprint analysis, inventory analysis, transportation analysis, and other ad hoc analyses as required.

  • Act as a lead analyst for logistics projects as assigned.

  • Responsible for identifying and developing opportunities to optimize transportation plans within FedEx Transportation Management operations and/or programs through the use of complex analysis and modeling.

  • Recommends changes in programs and networks to improve performance and customer service.

  • Interface with third party suppliers, client and internal departments.Attend, participate and share information at customer-attended site meetings.

  • Assists in developing Ad hoc Reporting/Metrics for presentation to management and customers.

  • Provides ad hoc operations support as needed develop new ideas and concepts in order to create unique solutions to problems.

  • Analyze management reports for client management and for internal needs. Facilitate and participate in process improvement teams.

  • Measure, analyze and report third party performance. Work with customer to maximize use of contracted third party suppliers.

  • Recommend appropriate third-party suppliers to meet service/cost goals. Provide quotations on freight costs and other third-party activities.

  • Perform logistics research in bringing new providers, services, and tools to customers.

  • Responsible for corrective action response and processes changes.

  • Comply with all applicable laws/regulations, as well as company policies and procedures.

  • Perform other duties as required.

Education/Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Operations Research, Mathematics or Finance related field required.

  • Minimal (entry level) 0-2 years’ experience.

  • Experience in transportation, distribution, fulfillment or supply chain related field.

  • Using modeling and simulation to solve problems, demonstrated data management and analysis skills.

  • Knowledge of the principles of optimization and how optimization is performed using software packages.

  • Understanding of simulation and the differences between optimization and simulation.

  • Familiarity with planning, forecasting, transportation, inventory management, and strategic sourcing.

  • Experience with Microsoft SQL, SSIS and SQL server DB’s or similar language preferred.

Pay Range: 50000.0 (Min) - 97402.0 (Max) Yearly
