Foodservice Pricing & Revenue Management Analyst

Pilgrim’s is looking for a highly qualified individual seeking opportunities for career expansion with our growing and high-powered team. 

The Foodservice Pricing & Revenue Management Analyst is responsible for running, maintaining, and implementing Pricing & Revenue optimization tools, analyses, and reporting in support of strategic goals for the Prepared Foods business unit. This role is at the center of all strategic development in Foodservice.

This position requires strong analytical skills and business acumen. The role will be responsible for reviewing, analyzing, modifying and or recommending pricing, trade and promotion rates. This individual will work cross functionally to execute pricing objectives. A successful candidate must be able to take the initiative, easily understand the business dynamics with respect to macro market fundamentals, the big picture, gaps and opportunities, working with category and sales teams to provide timely recommendations backed by solid fundamentals. The candidate must have a strong analytical background to facilitate an environment of fact-based decision making with the commitment to the end goal of achieving the best results. He/she must be able to create, develop and maintain new tools to support current routines, and have the strong drive to constantly improve.

This role will report to the Manager of Prepared Retail and Foodservice pricing and support our sales team. 

Responsibilities:

Foodservice Pricing & Profitability Strategy, Analysis & Insights:  

  • Work with category team to define annual pricing strategy.

  • Set and maintain Pilgrims’ Foodservice Distributor, Deli and K-12 pricing and manage recommendations for assigned categories including current and new SKUs

  • Monitor and react to cost and competitive changes and pro-actively develop pricing opportunities to drive Foodservice profitability.

  • Analyze and communicate sales and margin impact of Foodservice pricing and/or cost changes to stakeholders.

  • Conduct periodic price gap analysis and competitive analysis and update pricing guidelines as needed.

  • Work collaboratively with Category Management and Marketing teams to ensure common understanding of the category strategy.

  • Analyze pricing of the assortment incorporating the category strategy and present how it translates to an overall pricing strategy.

Trade and Promotions Strategy, Analysis & Insights: 

  • Manage comprehensive process of trade guardrail development, stakeholder recommendations and systems implementation within quarterly deliverables.

  • Conduct Ad-Hoc Analysis to Support Definition and Refinement of Trade and Promotion Pricing Strategy

  • Perform ROI and post-event analyses.

  • Maintain and recommend adjustments to trade and promotion planning.

Other functions:  

  • Implement tracking and analytics for key performance indicators of spend and work in coordination with Manager and sales team to improve return or realize pounds.

  • Communicate the progress of pricing initiatives to internal and external stakeholders.

  • Deliver quotations, analyses and responses accurately and on time.

  • Facilitate continuous improvement for all Foodservice pricing and trade processes.

  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree – business, economics, analytics, or finance preferred.

  • 1+ years category or technical analyst experience in pricing preferred.

  • Foodservice industry application experience preferred; Circana (NPD), Technomic, Blacksmith, IRI, Nielsen, Salesforce, etc.

  • Excellent skills with Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.) to drive simple and effective communication to all levels of the organization.

  • Proven ability to analyze data, develop insights, deliver recommendations & drive results.

  • Proficient communication skills, capable of influencing cross-functional behavior.

  • Ability to work within a matrix organization as a proven collaborator and problem solver.

  • Travel up to 10% as needed for strategic sales support.

  • Can perform the functions of the job with or without a reasonable accommodation

The applicant who fills this position will be eligible for the following compensation and benefits:

  • Benefits: Vision, Medical, and Dental coverage begin after 60 days of employment;

  • Paid Time Off: sick leave, vacation, and 6 company observed holidays;

  • 401(k): company match begins after the first year of service and follows the company vesting schedule;

  • Base salary range of $74,000-$90,000;

  • Incentive Pay: This position is eligible to participate in the Company’s annual bonus plan, the amount of bonus varies and is subject to the standard terms and conditions of the incentive program; and
