Job Summary

Peer tutors are active participants in the CLC Tutoring Center, coaching students in selected subjects as needed. Peer tutors participate in staff development opportunities, contribute to center projects and help promote the center within the CLC community.

  • Tutor CLC students in selected subjects.

  • Document tutoring sessions and complete other required reporting.

  • Respond to email and Teams communications.

  • Update supervisor on accomplishments, issues, and concerns.

  • Participate in staff development opportunities and in the tutor evaluation process.

  • Perform other duties as assigned.

    Required Qualification(s)

  • Be a CLC student enrolled in a minimum of 3 credits for summer or 6 credits for the fall semester

  • Have successfully completed courses in subject area to be tutored

  • Ability to communicate and interact effectively with students of diverse backgrounds and abilities

    Desired Qualification(s)

  • Proficient in MS Office.

  • Willingness to work at multiple campus locations (Lakeshore, Southlake, Grayslake).
