Job Summary
The College of Lake County ( CLC ) has an exciting opportunity for a paid internship for a Human Resources, Organizational Development or Management student entering their last year of their Bachelors or Masters degree to gain real life experience. In this position, the Intern will take the work of their classes and apply them in a real-world environment. This will be an 8-week term.
CLC is a comprehensive community college located in northeastern Illinois committees to being an innovative educational institutions providing life-changing paths for our students by offering exceptional learning experienced. This position will report to the Director of Human Resources, with mentorship from the Talent Development Coordinator and Human Resources Generalist.
Required Qualification(s)
Must be within final two (2) years of Bachelors degree program with two (2) or more semesters of courses related to Human Resources or in Masters degree program in Human Resources or related field
Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
Willing to challenge the status quo
Ability to be creative with any tasks or projects
Strong written and oral communication proficiency
Desired Qualification(s)
Proficient in Visio

Special Instructions Summary
Internship scheduled to run from mid-June to mid-August (dates are subject to change)

Work Schedule
Schedule will run:
Two (2) days a week of a 9-hour schedule or four (4) days a week with a 4.5 hour schedule or a combination.
Schedule is flexible and subject to change.

Summary of Essential Functions
Work in a Human Resources environment for a community college
Research, design, and build a New Leader Orientation program which aligns with CLC’s First Year Experience for employees.
Recommend success metrics.
Additional opportunities for this position based on availability and capacity which include success metrics for a Leadership Academy and exposure to the development of Workday Training materials.
