SCF Marine Lewis And Clark Fleeting Deckhand in Granite City, Illinois
SCF Lewis and Clark Fleeting LLC are hiring for Deckhand/Mate Positions on our tugboats (vessels) that provide fleeting and switching services in the St Louis Harbor and immediate surrounding areas only. Known as Lunch Bucket Boats. No live on Vessels. Our employees aid in the transportation of cargo and goods shipping via barges as they make their stops at barge fleets located in Hartford, Granite City, St. Louis, Herculaneum, and Festus Ports. Will need to pass DOT Physical, DOT Drug Screen, and an agility test. As part of a vessels crew with operations conducted 24/7, deckhands work full-time, 12-hour shifts and go home daily. Rotating days, nights, 5 days on 2 days off. 5 nights on 3 days off. Working holidays and weekends as schedule rotates. Deckhands/Mates are responsible for the tasks and functions involved with moving and securing barges in all types of weather, day and night, while the vessel is underway. Training is provided to assist employees with tasks and duties to follow policies, procedures, rules, and regulations in a safe and environmentally compliant manner.
