Job Title: CNC ProgrammerJob Description
We are seeking a skilled CNC Programmer responsible for developing CNC lathe programs using MasterCam for new parts on three, four, and five axis machines. The role involves leading other operators within the area, efficiently setting up and running production on several CNC lathes while maintaining high-quality parts from first article inspection through final part inspection.
Responsibilities
Develop CNC lathe programs using MasterCam for new parts on multi-axis machines.
Lead and guide other operators within the area.
Efficiently set up and run production on CNC lathes while maintaining high-quality parts.
Use and read precision measuring devices such as calipers and micrometers.
Determine the sequence of machine operations and select the proper cutting tools.
Analyze job orders, drawings, blueprints, specifications, and design data to calculate dimensions, tool selection, machine speeds, and feed rates.
Observe machines on trial runs or conduct computer simulations to ensure proper function and adherence to specifications.
Modify existing programs to enhance efficiency.
Determine reference points, machine cutting paths, hole locations, and compute angular and linear dimensions, radii, and curvatures.
Perform preventative maintenance or minor repairs on machines.
Essential Skills
Proficiency in MasterCam programming.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
Experience with CNC lathe programming, setup, and operation.
Experience programming Miyano lathes and Fanuc Control.
5+ years of experience programming, setting up, and operating live-tooling lathes using MasterCam.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Experience leading or guiding a team.
Ability to lift 50 lbs.
Work Environment
The work environment is on-site with a first shift schedule, offering flexible starting and ending times while working a full 8-hour shift. The facility is 72% temperature controlled, providing a comfortable working environment. The role offers the ability to have leadership discretion within the team.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $65000.00 - $75000.00
