Summary: Performs a variety of surveillance functions in support of departmental operations.
The intent of this position description is to provide a representative summary of the major duties and responsibilities performed by this position. Employee(s) may be required to perform position-related tasks other than those specifically listed in this description.
Essential Job Functions:
Assists in ensuring the proper protection and security of the Casino’s assets.
Monitors activity in all areas of the Casino for compliance with Company policies and procedures, minimum internal controls, and gaming regulations.
Conducts mini audits on employees to spot check for accuracy in work procedures.
Observes pit drops, slot drops, chip/paper fills, and related activities.
Completes and maintains a variety of surveillance records and documentation.
Notifies appropriate supervisory personnel regarding technical issues, suspicious behavior, security/safety risks, improprieties, violations, and/or illegal activity.
Provides assistance to internal customers and responds to requests in a timely manner.

Providing assistance in ensuring the appropriate protection of the Casino’s assets.

Preparing and maintaining accurate surveillance records and documentation.
Establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with others.
Education, Experience, Licenses, Registrations, and Certifications:
High School Diploma or equivalent, and one (1) year casino surveillance experience, or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
High security gaming license issued by the Grand Ronde Gaming Commission.
Must be at least 21 years of age.
Due to the nature of the interactions with other employees and the public we serve, employees may be required to provide documentation of, or receive, certain health vaccinations.
Candidates for this position must pass a basic math test.
Must successfully complete the 1080 hours of training/educational requirements as listed below within the first 6 to 12 months in the position, depending on experience.

Environmental Factors and Conditions/Physical Requirements:
Work is performed in a gaming environment with exposure to tobacco smoke and noise.
Work is subject to frequent sitting, intermittent standing, walking, bending, reaching, and occasional lifting up to 50 pounds.
Equipment and Tools Utilized:
- Equipment utilized includes surveillance equipment, personal computer, and standard office equipment.
