DeWys Manufacturing, Inc, is seeking an experienced Supply Chain Specialist.

Description

  • Daily POs for direct material components that are specified on BOM's. Any expensed items or special requests get elevated to Manager if over $2,000
  • Protect production from shutdowns -- this should be the number one priority daily.
  • Monitor daily and weekly capacity buckets in ERP to ensure hours are at needed buckets. Pull in work as needed to keep work centers and needed hours and level load out as needed.
  • Review all work orders before release to ensure if they are over one production shift it is reviewed and agreed upon with production team.
  • Work closely with sales and production to best align production hours and capacity to needed sales targets.
  • Work hand in hand with production to manage production schedule , collaborate on what to run and when to meet customer ship date based on current work load.
  • Update standard lot quantities and re-order points.
  • Responsible for reviewing order confirmations, updating dates and costs, updating vendor quotes as necessary, assuring our inventory/cost system is accurate.
  • Run MRP (automated purchasing GS) and Exception reports daily -- Release orders on time assuring materials are here on time to meet on time goals.
  • Responsible for monitoring open PO/late PO dashboard and receiving in products. Follow up with vendors on late PO's and correct delivery dates.
  • If supplier dates cannot support schedules ask for assistance and or review with customer service team if ok.
  • Identifies potential inventory issues and performs cycle counts as needed.
  • Review obsolete inventory and present options for disposition to team.
  • Maintains vendor records in Global Shop: up to date contacts, phone, email, part numbers that are duel sourced and any other necessary information.
  • Establish a Kanban: Inventory sheet for powder coat at shoreline or have them count powder after every run and inventory adjust GS, Raw Steel at Refab.
  • Review "on hold" Jobs daily communicate accordingly and promptly within Refab.
  • Maintains all stocking agreements and assures levels that are set meet our customer's expectations including contractual agreements and yearly blanket purchase orders -- set up share point vendor files -- Purchasing & Quality
  • Responsible for finding cost savings ideas throughout the supply chain
  • Supplier Development - Supplier visits, gain process knowledge, understand the capabilities of the supply base.
  • Performs other duties and special projects as assigned by supervisor.

Requirements

  • B.A. in Supply Chain Management or technical school with 5 or more years' experience in manufacturing, preferably metal fabrication; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret documents such as prints, work orders, engineering specifications, safety rules, work rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information, communicate, and respond to questions from team members, customers, and suppliers.
  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete and abstract variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form. Must possess good problem-solving skills.
