The Digital Content Specialist leads the strategy, acquisition, and usage of digital content at Meijer. In this role, the Digital Content Specialist creates and enforces standards, maintains digital eligibility with internal and external stakeholders, and analyzes backend ecommerce data. This role works directly with buyers, merchandising ITS, digital ITS, marketing, ecommerce, photo agencies, paid media, and external vendor partners.

What You'll Be Doing

Systems Used

· Microsoft 365 (advanced Excel skills)

· Stibo PIM (Product Information Manager)

· Power BI

· Nielsen IQ Label Insights

· 1WorldSync, Salsify, Syndigo

Standards and Attribute Strategy

· Own and develop the overall content strategy to maintain Meijer’s online brand equity and translate the in-store customer experience to an online platform

· Partner with buyers, digital merchants, and compliance teams to capture content data needs, standards, and enhanced requirements

· Implement Artificial Intelligence for digital content scorecarding (using Power BI)

Digital Eligibility Campaigns and Reports

· Campaigns: Complex planning and collaboration with relevant stakeholders for Meijer digital campaigns (new and seasonal launches), including in-house imagery uploads

· Reports: Power BI digital eligibility reporting, Stibo PIM custom exports, Bazaarvoice Ratings and Reviews. Influencing and communicating Digital Content KPIs.

Vendor Relations

· Direct collaboration with vendors ranging from local businesses to Fortune 500 companies

· Notable vendors include:

· Apple, Walt Disney, L’Oreal, Johnson & Johnson, Procter & Gamble, Nestle, Coca-Cola, Unilever, Adidas, and more

· Partner with best-in-class vendors to inform our digital content standards and align their KPIs (Search Engine Optimization/SEO, content scorecarding, etc.) with Meijer

· Troubleshoot vendor PIM issues and facilitate system training

· International vendor communications: managing time zones and cultural differences

IT Relations

· Develop features and bugs within the Agile Program Increment (PI) structure

· Prioritize and advocate for digital content features amongst developer capacity with other teams

· Digital Content Specialist is the Subject Matter Expert (SME) responsible for quality assurance testing on our requests

· Digital Content Specialist is the bridge from vendor to Meijer IT

Buyer and Own Brand Relations

· Buyers and Own Brand Leads approach their Digital Content Specialist to improve online presence of their assortment and increase digital sales

· Imagery Standards and Operations

· Troubleshoot imagery metadata issues in PIM (e.g. pixels, DPI/PPI, image file format, aspect ratio, file size)

· Large-scale category standards: partner with buyers and digital merchants to develop imagery standards with category-specific nuances. Collaborate with third party marketing agency for the creation of in-depth photography guidelines.

· Own Brand photo implementation: following direction from Own Brand Leads on packaging launch schedules, partnering with the Meijer photo studio to track and upload imagery.

· Understand industry-wide GS1 regulations

What You'll Bring With You:

  • ·Bachelor’s degree or equivalent retail industry experience·2-5 years of merchandising, ecommerce, digital marketing, or retail experience·Knowledge of the retail industry and eCommerce·Basic understanding of SEO·Ability to analyze reporting and provide insights ·Ability to collaborate with, and present to internal and external stakeholders (e.g. Meijer buying directors, influential vendor account managers and leadership)·Passion to learn company systems, processes and tools, and identify opportunities of improvement·Proactive and action-oriented·Detail-oriented and organized·Ability to meet production deadlines·Strong interpersonal skills·Excellent written and verbal communication skills·Proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite·Understanding of intellectual property rights, compliance and enforcement
