Head Start For Kent County Site Aide in Grand Rapids, Michigan

Job Description

Position Overview:

Ensures the implementation of the Head Start program by providing high quality, safe food for children in accordance with the performance standards, Kent County Health Department regulations and Child and Adult Care Food Program regulations. Works at sites to provide food for children in the classroom.

Base Pay

  • $16.37 -- $17.43

Hours & Location

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Portions and delivers food in accordance with nutrition guidelines to each classroom.
  • Delivers breakfast, lunch and snack items to the classrooms.
  • Maintains a safe and sanitary environment for the food and premises following the local health department codes and guidelines in handling of all food.
  • Maintains an environment that meets KCHD guidelines.
  • Maintains food service records (i.e. inventory, cleaning, etc.).
  • Checks in food and supply deliveries for accuracy against packing slips and ensures all stock is properly stored in designated locations upon arrival.

Required Education and Experience:

  • No education requirements
  • One to two years food service experience preferred
