Trinity Health West Michigan MRI Technologist Team Lead - Full-time in Grand Rapids, Michigan
Hours | Schedule:
- Full Time, 40 hours per week
- Day shift, 8 hour shifts - primarily days but may require some night, weekend or on-call coverage
What the MRI Technologist Lead will Do:
- MRI Scanning and Patient Care: Perform MRI examinations, ensuring patient positioning and safety while administering contrast as needed.
- Team Leadership: Oversee daily operations, manage staff scheduling, mentor team members, and participate in hiring and performance evaluations.
- Quality Assurance and Compliance: Monitor quality, ensure compliance with accreditation standards, and collaborate on equipment safety with Clinical Engineering.
- Education and Development: Assess staff training needs, facilitate education programs, and stay current on MRI safety and technology advancements.
- Communication and Collaboration: Foster effective teamwork across departments, serving as a consultant on MRI-related issues to enhance patient experiences.
What the MRI Technologist Lead Needs:
Required:
- Completion of American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) approved Radiologic Technology Program, or an MRI-specific curriculum
- Currently registered with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)
- MRI certification
- Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification. Certification or re-certification in Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) within three months of hire
- 3 or more years' experience as a staff technologist in specific imaging modality.
Preferred:
- Bachelor's Degree
- 3-5 years of supervisory experience in a Radiology imaging modality
- Ability to interpret and monitor EKG tracings
