Life EMS Ambulance Human Resources Assistant in Grand Rapids, Michigan
This is a full-time position. Pay ranges from $18.77/hr to $25/hr, based on experience.
SUMMARY:
Provide administrative support to the Human Resources Department, referred to as Associate Services within Life EMS; ensuring timely responsiveness to associate and customer inquiries.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provide excellent communication, feedback and follow-up to associates and customers.
- Provide administrative support to the Human Resources (Associate Services) Department including entering data into HRIS, answering phones, and scanning and filing paperwork.
- Reviewing associates certifications, licenses and motor vehicle records and enter expiration dates in HRIS.
- Audit or track: CEU's, certifications, associate hours, OIG, and annual associate reviews.
- Update associate personal information changes, including address, name, email, and phone
- Respond to verbal & written employment verifications.
- Process all UIA paperwork
- Monitor associate PIPS
- Assist with employee relations
- Run reports for leadership as needed
- Other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE REQUIREMENTS:
- Must demonstrate positive, respectful behavior in dealing with people at all levels
- Must have a minimum of two years of previous administrative experience preferably in Human Resources
- Excellent phone etiquette
- Accurate, basic typing skills and computer operation knowledge including knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel with the ability to accurately type 40WPM
- Must have a high school diploma or G.E.D.
- Must pass all Life EMS pre-employment requirements as outlined on the Conditional Offer of Employment
- Must be interviewed by the Human Resources (Associate Services) designee
PHYSICAL DEMANDS: While performing the duties of this job, the associate is occasionally required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools or controls; reach with hands and arms; climb stairs; balance; stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl; talk or hear; taste or smell. The associate must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
