2nd Shift General Production Worker
Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated General Production Worker for our 2nd shift. The role offers a competitive hourly wage of $20.10, which includes a shift premium. The employee will work in a dynamic manufacturing facility, assisting with moving and assembling products for welders. Training will be provided for the brake press, unless the candidate already has relevant experience. The position involves working with various types of steel and metals and requires experience in quality inspection and metals.
Assist in moving and assembling products for welders.
Operate the brake press, particularly on the 2nd shift, if experienced.
Conduct quality inspections of chair seats and other assembled parts.
Work with materials such as sheets of metal, wood, fiberglass, and springs.
Participate in the assembly of small intricate parts used for bus seating.
Ensure all assembled products meet quality assurance standards.
Essential Skills
1+ years of manufacturing experience.
1+ years of assembly experience.
Brake press operation experience, especially for the 2nd shift.
Good attendance record.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Skills in packing, production line work, press brake operation, inspection, quality assurance, and quality inspection.
Experience with sheet metal, micrometre, production, manufacturing, general production, and general labor.

Work Environment
The work environment is a manufacturing floor that can be noisy. The role requires interaction with production operators as well as management. This is a union shop, providing a structured and supportive environment for all employees.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Grand Rapids, Michigan.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $18.75 - $20.10/hr.
