Summary The Mettler-Toledo Product Inspection Field Service Technicians (FST) are required to provide World Class support to our customers through start-ups, audits, maintenance, repair, and training of Safeline X-Ray, Safeline Metal Detectors, Hi-Speed Checkweighers, or CI Vision machines. PI FST's are responsible for managing all aspects of field service support including the following: communications between customers and the service department, effective scheduling, detailed preparation of written reports and documentation, and maintenance of job assignments, while always keeping in mind to follow MT PI procedures and best practices.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Satisfy all Safety Requirements for both MT-PI and Customer Sites Attend tier calls led by a Regional Service Manager Efficiently execute scheduled service calls as directed from Dispatch or Management while taking into account cost, time, and customer needs/expectations Develop and maintain good customer relationships; Become the customer's trusted advisor Identify root cause of service issues (first time fix) Accurately complete and submit all service reports and documentation per service activity, timesheets, and expense reports in a timely manner Keep up with ongoing technical training Weekend/afterhours work as required based on workload and rotation Maintain company supplied equipment, tools, and inventory In addition to our core values, all employees must follow the Code of Conduct Other duties and tasks as assigned What You Need to Succeed

Education

High School Diploma or GED required Associate's degree in Electronics or Engineering Technology, or equivalent work experience preferred.

Experience & Skills

Work diligently and professionally in the pursuit of department and company goals. Must have a significant orientation toward detail and be very thorough in the execution of these tasks. Must be able to work efficiently in a fast paced, high volume environment including the flexibility of change. Must be a "self starter" who will initiate corrective actions without specific direction from supervisor. Outstanding ability to adhere to deadlines. Must be well focused on the issue of time consciousness. Excellent problem solving skills. Possess conflict management skills and the ability to work in an organizational structure to determine when and who to ask for help as needed.
