Job Description:

The Editor is responsible for developing, substantively editing, and fact-checking content that showcases the firm's industry and service-specific knowledge for clients, prospective clients, and the general market. This content includes, but is not limited to articles, industry newsletters, e-communications, webinars, bylined articles for external publications, webpages, and other marketing materials.

Partners with content strategists to provide input on content plans and formats for specific content pieces.

Develops direct, productive relationships with authors:

Internal subject matter experts

Internal and external marketing agency copywriters

Freelance writers (for long-form and other thought leadership)

Manages multiple projects, sets deadlines, and manages and documents the flow of content, approvals, technical reviews, and other information.

Editorial enables Crowe to evolve and deliver compelling marketing and thought leadership content to meet and exceed the needs of our stakeholders, thus driving demand for the firm's services. Our efforts help build the Crowe brand and business and support our internal clients as trusted subject matter experts (SMEs). We:

Partner with marketing and the SME teams to help develop elevated content that is on target, on brand, and compliant.

Maintain guidance on best practices for content development across different touchpoints.

Bring efficiency/speed to market to the firm's content development process without losing quality.

Required Skills:

Excellent editing and writing skills

Strong knowledge of/experience with AP Style

Strong knowledge of English composition, including grammar, sentence structure, punctuation, and source citations

Ability to understand and revise complex subject matter without changing the meaning

Excellent attention to detail while also addressing the larger context of a project

Understanding of business and accounting issues and vocabulary preferred

Fluency with contemporary technology, especially Microsoft Office products, Adobe Acrobat, and project management software such as Workfront

Ability to work collaboratively and productively with all types of people at all levels of the organization

Proven problem-solving, organizational, and time management skills

Minimum qualifications:

The ideal candidate must have the following:

5 years' experience in an editing position, preferably with a professional services firm.

Bachelor's or master's degree, preferably in English or journalism

Experience working with SME and marketing authors

Experience following and applying a style guide, preferably Associated Press
