We are seeking a Director of Quality, Compliance, and Risk Management to provide leadership of the Quality, Compliance and Risk Management department that manages organizational risk and ensures quality outcomes of service delivery; compliance with federal, state and local regulations; and accreditation.
Duties and responsibilities include:
Leadership & Team Management:
- Lead a professional and highly competent team, setting goals and direction. Provide ongoing feedback, develop, mentor, and motivate direct reports. Foster an environment of trust, open communication, and cohesive teamwork.
- Serve as a member of the Executive Leadership Team.
Reporting & Compliance Oversight:
- Oversee the tracking and development of reports for Network180 staff, Board, PIHP, and Michigan DHHS. Ensure compliance with organizational policies, including HIPAA privacy rules and other federal, state, and local regulations.
- Lead PIHP delegated functions and special projects as directed by executive staff. Represent Network180 in community planning efforts and participate in related PIHP workgroups.
Quality Assurance:
- Oversee external audits, accreditation surveys, responses, and compliance with quality and outcome standards.
- Manage the audit process for Network180 services, ensuring reporting and corrective action plans. Lead QI projects and monitor system-wide quality improvement initiatives. Provide consultation to internal and contracted staff to ensure consistency across services.
- Support the Quality Improvement Council and oversee State reporting and critical event management.
Compliance:
- Serve as the Corporate Compliance Officer and HIPAA Privacy Officer.
- Lead compliance initiatives, including accreditation processes, policy development, and "Fraud, Waste, and Abuse" procedures. Oversee staff training on the Michigan Mental Health Code, HIPAA/HITECH, and other relevant regulations.
- Manage compliance reporting and serve as the primary contact for compliance matters.
Risk Management:
- Lead the Risk Management Committee and implement a risk management framework to assess, monitor, and mitigate organizational risk.
- Collaborate with clinical and operational leaders to conduct regular risk assessments and develop risk mitigation strategies. Oversee risk-related data collection, reporting, and analysis for senior management and stakeholders.
- Educate staff on risk management principles and collaborate with IT to align privacy and security plans.
This position is full-time, exempt from Monday through Friday, during office business hours. A flexible hybrid working arrangement is available for this position. The employee may perform work from a home office or
