Corewell Health Director Corporate Reimbursement in Grand Rapids, Michigan
Job Summary
Responsible for directing and managing all financial functions that relate to third party reimbursement and bad debt recognition and providing financial reimbursement services required by all internal and external customers. Will act as a subject matter expert on third party reimbursement, advising and educating senior leadership and advocating for Corewell Health. Position reports to Sr. Director Reimbursement.
Essential Functions
Oversight of the management and estimation of net patient service revenues related to third party payors and support of balance sheet reserves.
Provide leadership and support for all external financial statement audit activity related to third party payor net revenue.
Oversight and involvement of all reimbursement related regulatory filings and related audits.
Oversight and involvement of the annual budget of third party net patient service revenue.
Responsible for the efficient operation of the department along with staff development and training.
Provide oversight to external consultants related to specific reimbursement/net revenue related activity.
Stays abreast of all commercial regulations and changes that impact net revenue.
Communication of key third party reimbursement issues and trends to site operations and executive management.
Deep understanding of all aspects of third party reimbursement and bad debt recognition.
Qualifications
Required
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance.
7 years of relevant progressive responsibility experience within reimbursement in a healthcare system.
A minimum of 3 years in a leadership role within reimbursement in a healthcare system.
