Job Description

A client in the Grand Rapids, MI area is seeking two Design Technicians to join their team for a contract-to-hire opportunity. The company is a large provider of engineering and project management services for all areas of the electric and gas utility industry. The purpose of this position is to apply technical skills to accurately evaluate options and design safe, cost effective and reliable design of facilities for residential, commercial, and industrial projects. They will be in office majority of the time doing design work, and only rarely out in field. They are basically creating a map, showing the work location, & environment around it. They will use a tablet to record everything.

Skills and Requirements

• 1+ year of mechanical experience in CAD, AutoCAD, GIS, or Power Distribution

• CAD design experience - DDS (digital design studio)

• Utility industry experience

• Associates degree null
