Job Title: Construction Project Manager

Job Description

We are looking at a construction project manager to the team in Grand Rapids, MI. This individual will be overseeing the general management and execution of construction projects, along with assisting during the pre-construction phase including estimating, subcontractor negotiations, and value engineering.

During the construction phase, the PM will work closely with the assigned superintendent and construction personnel to successfully oversee the physical construction of the project and ensure the project remains on schedule and on budget.

Project Managers are expected to maintain good communication with the client, client representatives, internal management throughout the project’s life cycle.

Projects will include churches, schools, mixed-use, multifamily, industrial in the 1-5 million dollar range.

Responsibilities:

• Monitor sub-contractors and vendors

• Understand of OSHA and MIOSHA standards

• Strong knowledge in General Trades (carpentry, doors, frames, hardware & millwork installation

• Maintain positive relationships with customers, contractors, suppliers, and other employees

• Communicate well with Accounting, Estimating, Human Resources, Coordinator, and Management to assure a safe and successful project

• Strong understanding

Must Have Qualifications

• 2-3 years of recent commercial OR residential construction project management

• Project experience in the half a million to 5 million dollar range

Job Type

This is a Contract-to-Hire position with a duration of 12 Month(s). Position is open due to a large backlog of projects.

Work Site

This is a fully on-site position in Grand Rapids, Michigan.

Work Environment

Hours are 8:00am - 4:00pm, working in the office. Travel to jobsites is required. Occasional travel to the east side of the state for jobsite visits may be needed, but this won't be part of the normal schedule.
