Corewell Health Care Management Coordinator in Grand Rapids, Michigan

Job Summary

Coordinates office functions and activities to maintain an effective and efficient department. Manages schedule/work for the Director and any Managers of Care Management. Acts as liaison and coordinates all complex clerical duties of the division. Processes payroll, bill payment, and other requests for the department. Oversee the delivery of Medicare letters to patients and keep accurate records in electronic systems.

Essential Functions

  • Maintains employee schedules, tracks PTO, and manages daily assignment.

  • Coordinates activities related to the Care Management Policy and Procedures manual, including any needed maintenance of the CM website, and communication on policy updates.

  • Processes/oversees/corrects payroll for all of Care Management as well as keeping accurate statistics for all employees.

  • Coordinates all appointments, meeting, and projects for the director and other managers in the Care Management department. Manages meeting agendas and minutes as requested.

  • Processes bills for Care Management department. (i.e. BSBC PROM Invoices, Med Assist Fund, Cost Transfers, Zoll Life vest, etc.).

  • Organizes and coordinates all office activities. Order supplies, etc.

  • All other duties as assigned. (Special Projects).

  • Creates and maintains employee files and licenses.

  • May assist in Utilization management functions such as:· Working to obtain authorizations and address concurrent denials.· Scheduling next review dates as required by payor guidelines.· Maintains and monitors CM Workques.

Qualifications

Required

  • High School Diploma or equivalent

Preferred

  • Post high school training and/or academic coursework leading toward associate’s or bachelor’s degree.

  • 2 years of relevant experience healthcare experience. Preferred
