Job Summary:
The Braze Trainer is responsible for training and coaching employees on proper brazing standard work, safety requirements, and quality requirements in the manufacturing process. This role requires the prerequisites or applicable deviation to the Train the Trainer class, and successful completion of the class with approval to train through a T3 recommendation form the Master Trainer.
Key Responsibilities:
· Facilitate establishment and implementation of the Trane Braze Center of Excellence Training and Certification Program
· Conduct Braze Excellence Training class (classroom and practical) for new braze team members
· Matriculate through the braze areas in the plants, coaching team members, auditing for adherence to standard work, auditing quality of work.
· Complete routine inspections of brazing equipment.
· Support the resolution of brazing related issues on the production floor.
· Support the implementation of updates to safety standards, brazing standards in accordance with Braze NoE and EHS.
· Participate in process improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency, reduce waste, and improve brazing quality.
· Communicates across department, to Supervisors and employees in a timely manner.
· Provide data and interface with corporate braze excellence team
· Continually update training and certification material to remain current with “Best Practices”
Qualifications:
· High school diploma or equivalent (associate degree in a technical field preferred).
· 3-5 years of experience in brazing, preferably in a manufacturing environment or deviation for time served
· Competency in reading blueprints and diagrams to interpret braze specifications and properly space brazes and routes
· Prior experience as a trainer or mentor is a plus.
· Strong understanding of brazing tools, materials, and processes.
· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
· Strong attention to detail and quality-focused mindset.
· Knowledge of safety and compliance standards related to brazing.
· Actively practices and promotes safety
· Committed to continuous improvement in products, services and processes
· Responsible for auditing braze quality and std work, and coaching braze excellence to team members across plants.
