Position Summary

As part of the continued expansion of a highly acclaimed program in Women's Health, Michigan State University and the College of Human Medicine are making a significant investment to continue building our diverse program. MSU has a growing cohort of well-funded, highly interactive faculty involved in Women's Health-focused Reproductive and Developmental Biology, Population Science and Implementation Research on the East Lansing, Grand Rapids, and Flint campuses. The successful candidates will strengthen and complement these already established programs. We currently seek candidates with active extramurally funded basic/clinical/translational research programs for up to three tenure-track positions at the rank of Assistant, Associate, and Full Professor. Candidates with expertise in a wide range of women's health-related topics across the life course, including molecular and cellular assessment of placental & fetal function, ovarian  and uterine biology, gynecologic cancers, reproductive immunology, chronic debilitating conditions in women, maternal health equity, addressing structural and social determinants of health and outcomes research related to pregnancy, birth and early development are encouraged to apply. We are also seeking candidates who would enhance the programmatic initiatives by developing innovative knowledge networks through precision medicine, big data analysis, and health equity.

Applicants must have a PhD, ScD, MD, or equivalent with a record of research accomplishments and peer-reviewed publications. Joint appointments with our clinical partners are possible for those medical professionals with clinical duties. Successful candidates will be expected to maintain a vigorous, nationally recognized basic, clinical and/or population, based translational research program, to enhance the existing dynamic programs in women's health research () and reproductive and developmental biology (http://rdsp.canr.msu.edu/), and to contribute to professional, graduate, and/or undergraduate teaching and mentorship. Appointments will be on the Grand Rapids campus,  which continues to grow and expand in terms of research innovation and community health care. Generous start-up funds will be provided, and salary is negotiable.
