This unique opportunity blends organizing and hosting events/tours with sales. We will provide you with experiences to travel across the US to help execute events. We hope after this internship, you are willing to relocate to one of our major markets.

This summer internship experience will build your foundation of consultative sales skills in this complex industry. We seek to identify teammates who are eager to learn about our consultative sales process and add value through leading individual & group projects.

What this program is not: This internship program is not for a transactional sale - you will not be making quick sales to clients, cold calling, going door-to-door, catalog sales or trying to get people to buy something they don't need. Your role will not be in a showroom assisting people who walk in the door.

What youwill be doing: During your summer Consultative Field Sales Internship- You will lead individual regional projects, which may include:

Organizing the logistics of upcoming client visits Participating in client tours or events Creating resources of best practices for hosting customers in the field Exploring new ideas for the customer gift program Identifying new ways to improve the customer experience at Steelcase Participate in a summer-long group Innovation Challenge tackling a wicked problem in the sales organization. Gain exposure and insight into the consultative sales process and Participate in centralized professional development with your intern cohort from experienced sales coaches Present your final individual and group projects to stakeholders and leaders across the Sales organization Your Future Team: You will join the cohort of 10+ fellow sales interns in North America, which is a positive and inclusive group. Your Client Experience Team is made up of members who organize and execute events both locally and across the U.S.

This experience will be led by a Program Manager, who will guide your experience along with your Client Experience leadership and  team.You are joining a team who wants to see you succeed!

Preferred Skills and Competencies

Someone who loves organizing and hosting events for others Strong relationship building skills, confidence to seek new relationships and eagerness to open doors at the decision maker level Previous campus tour guide or ambassador a bonus! Excellent, dynamic communication skills including presentation, written and verbal. Strong event planning and organizational skills The ability to work both independently and as part of a team Effective and proactive communication Strong problem-solving skills Someone who loves to travel and is adaptable Required Skills and Competencies

The ideal candidate would be a currentJunior (rising senior) currently pursuing a bachelor's degree in Sales or aBusiness-relatedfield Previous experience hosting events is a bonus<
