Aerotek Quality Engineer in Grand Prairie, Texas

Job Description

As a Supplier Quality Technician, you will measure incoming products using various inspection tools and ensure quality standards are met. You will work with plastics, metals, foraged metals, and PCB boards, and will be involved in quality control and assurance processes. This role requires experience dealing with customers and managing suppliers.

Responsibilities

  • Measure incoming products using inspection tools such as calipers, height gauges, plug gauges, pin gauges, durometer testers, hardness testers, surface testers, Keyence imaging comparators, Keyence CMM, and Faro laser tracker.

  • Ensure quality standards are met for plastics, metals, foraged metals, and PCB boards.

  • Perform visual inspections and quality inspections using blueprints and micrometers.

  • Manage supplier quality and perform quality control and assurance tasks.

  • Handle CAPA processes and ensure compliance with ISO 9001 and other ISO standards.

Essential Skills

  • At least 5 years of quality control experience in a manufacturing environment.

  • Experience with plastics, metals, foraged metals, and PCB boards.

  • Proficiency in using inspection tools such as calipers, height gauges, plug gauges, pin gauges, durometer testers, hardness testers, surface testers, Keyence imaging comparators, Keyence CMM, and Faro laser tracker.

  • Experience in supplier management and dealing with customers.

  • Knowledge of ISO 9001 and other ISO standards.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Strong attention to detail and ability to perform accurate measurements.

  • Good communication skills for dealing with customers and suppliers.

  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and perform visual inspections.
