Lockheed Martin Quality Engineer Staff - Grand Prairie, TX in Grand Prairie, Texas

Description:

Lockheed Martin Missiles and Fire Control is currently seeking a Quality Engineer to join our team to support our Grand Prairie, TX facility.

In this role, the Quality Engineer will support the functional quality group. In addition, they will also support the development and continuous improvement of tools to support the Quality Engineering function from an enterprise level.

Role could include up to 25% travel..

What You Will Be Doing

Duties include but are not limited to:

• Supporting various programs when additional support is necessary to support business needs

• Performs technical evaluations including product requirements, specifications, models/designs, drawings, and procedures. Collaborates with program management, engineering, manufacturing, supply chain and customers on quality related issues to ensure quality standards are in place.

• Ensures corrective measures meet acceptable reliability standards and/or are compliant with requirements.

• Develops strategies and systems designed to improve internal and/or supplier performance and productivity.

Basic Qualifications:

-STEM degree at bachelors level or above and/or equivalent experience/combined education.

-Experience supporting program quality and manufacturing quality.

-Experience with root cause corrective action tools and implementation.

-Experience with implementing Statistical Process Controls (SPC), understanding, and using the data.

Desired Skills:

-STEM degree at bachelors level or higher preferred.

-Experience in developing training material or teaching peers.

-Experience leading teams.

-Experience with interfacing with Defense Contract Management Agency (DCMA).

-Contract quality engineering experience.

Ability to Work Remotely: Part-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process.

Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.

Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
