Local Home Health Care Provider is hiring a part-time Registered Nurse for in home visits.
Pay varies dependent on visit: -Routine Visit $50.00 -Recertification $100.00 -Start of Care Assessment: $160.00
Job Description: Under the general supervision of the Nursing Supervisor, the Home Health Registered Nurse delivers care to clients utilizing the nursing process of assessment, planning, intervention, implementation, and evaluation. The RN effectively interacts and provides information on health maintenance and disease prevention, and provides case management with clients, significant others, and other health team members while maintaining standards of professional nursing.
Minimum Qualifications: Graduate of an accredited school of Nursing. Current, unencumbered state license to practice as a Registered Nurse (RN) Minimum one (1) year of nursing experience required with home health experience preferred. Current CPR certification. Copy of updated Physical, based on state requirements. Copy of updated TB results/ Chest x-ray. Reliable transportation
Essential Functions:
The registered nurse shall be responsible for the following:
1) The initial evaluation visit
2) Regularly reevaluating the consumer's nursing needs
3) Initiating the plan of care and necessary revisions
4) Furnishing those services requiring substantial and specialized nursing skill
5) Initiating appropriate preventive and rehabilitative nursing procedures
6) Preparing clinical notes, coordinating services, and informing the physician and other personnel of changes in the consumer's condition and needs
7) Counseling the consumer and family in meeting nursing and related needs
8) Participating in in-service programs, supervising and teaching other nursing personnel
Working Conditions: Office Environment, client home setting, and automobile travel. Contact with blood or other body fluids may pose a risk for exposure to blood borne pathogens and infectious diseases.
Physical Demands: Ability to sit, stand, bend and stoop for periods of time. Ability to exert up to 25 pounds of force occasionally. Ability to work in a stressful environment. Ability to respond to emergency/crisis situations. Exposure to blood and/or body fluids. May include extended time at a computer work screen and on the telephone. Other duties may be assigned.
