Salary: As per GITA contract
Description of Position: Head coach oversees the entirety of the boys swimming & diving program. Required to be available and attend all practices and meets Monday - Friday and occasionally Saturdays. Oversees an assistant coach.
Qualifications Required : Experienced coach in the sport of swimming. Ability to oversee a program to include recruiting, retaining and training athletes. Ability to build an individualized training plan for every athlete so that they experience improvement. Positive interactions with students, good role model and good communicator. Experienced and trained to teach strokes.
Qualifications Desired : Some understanding of the principles of training, athletic injuries, progression and tapering.
NOTE : Education Law requires that all coaches possess a valid Coaches' First Aid and Personal Safety Certificate. It is the coach's responsibility to keep the certificate current.
