Were seeking a proactive, detail-oriented Bilingual Production Floor Lead to assist the Hatchery Manager and Assistant Hatchery Manager. Job Overview:

• Location: Grand Island, Nebraska
• Schedule: Full-Time 1st shift with overtime
• Pay: $18/hour based on experience

Responsibilities:

• Prepare vaccine mixing procedures and ensure proper setup of vaccine systems.
• Connect vaccine bags to PSP main lines, prime pumps, and check for defective needles and baffle placement.
• Inspect PSP equipment and sign off on animal welfare forms before startup.
• Monitor quality control to ensure high-quality chick production and proper vaccine spraying.
• Manage the inventory and separation of chicks by flock including cull chicks and extras.
• Lead and coordinate the sexing team setting the pace for production.
• Verify daily processing totals from each PSP and reconcile them with floor counts.
• Ensure vaccine containers maintain a minimum of 7" of liquid nitrogen logging all readings.
• Maintain cleanliness in the chick processing room and laboratory.
• Conduct bi-monthly vaccine inventory and ensure all necessary supplies are stocked (tubing, needles, dyes, etc.).
• Cover for team members during vacations or absences as needed.

Requirements:

• Must be bilingual (Spanish/English)
• Previous experience in a production or hatchery environment preferred.
• Strong leadership and organizational skills.
• Attention to detail with a focus on quality control.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and multitask effectively.
• Willingness to perform duties outside the typical scope as needed.
