Position Summary:
Designs Leadership Development programs to support and model the MHC Vision,
Mission
and strategic plan.
Programs will focus on development and enhancement of corporate culture through positive leadership development initiatives and programs designed to enhance leadership skills. Functions in the capacity of an educator, facilitator, change agent, role model, consultant, and researcher.
Responsible and accountable for assessing, planning, developing, coordinating, implementing, and evaluating leadership and talent development initiatives for MHC. Initiatives are congruent with current strategic goals to improve organizational effectiveness.
Examples of leadership and talent development initiatives and activities include programs, classes, events, projects, processes, systems, internal counseling, and coaching.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
Fully supports the vision, mission, values and strategic plan of McLaren Health Care Corporation.
Develops and administers leadership training and talent development programs necessary to increase and enhance leadership work-related skills and improve System services.Monitors programs for effectiveness by testing, surveying and interviewing leaders to measure learning progress and effectiveness of training presentations. Provides leadership on system-wide Leadership and Talent Development initiatives and programs.
Responsible for administering the McLaren Leadership Academy.
Serves as a liaison and resource person to System committees concerned with leadership and talent development and training programs.
Supports McLaren’s commitment to Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion through participation on Corporate and System committees, developing and evaluating training for the system and supporting the Chief Diversity Officer’s and DEI Executive Council’s initiatives.
Investigates and recommends options for content formats, training tools and resources.
Develops training content and presentations.
Presents, leads, coordinates, and facilitates leadership initiatives.
Collaborates with others, within and outside of the corporation, to meet organizational goals.
Recruits and supports internal subject matter experts to provide training in specialized areas.
Qualifications:
Required:
Masters degree in Healthcare Administration, Public Administration, Business Administration, Adult Education, Learning Technology or related field required.
A minimum of five years experience in health care administration, management, organizational development, consulting, and/or other areas of responsibility.
Preferred:
- Experience in Education and Adult Learning, Learning Management Systems (LMS) or online learning.
