Lockheed Martin Quality Engineer - Goleta, CA in Goleta, California

Description: Lockheed Martin (LM) Missiles and Fire Control

(MFC) seeking a Quality Engineer for a position based in Goleta, CA.

The position requires quality engineering experience in developing and reviewing quality standards, methods, work instructions and procedures for the inspection of manufactured and procured products.

Responsibilities include:

Supports Integrated Product Teams and various production sites with reviews of quality data on yields, rework, scrap and non-conformance aging.

Reviews documentation related to internal manufacturing processes to ensure quality products are delivered to the customer.

Ability to analyze and resolve process issues varying from basic to complex by collaborating with program management, engineering, manufacturing, supply chain and customers on quality related issues to ensure quality standards are in place.

Dispositions non-conforming hardware, identify hardware containment requirements, identify appropriate root cause and corrective action is taken to prevent recurrence.

Participate as an active member of Preliminary Material Review Boards and potentially Material Review Boards.

Performs assessments and audits on processes and procedures to ensure compliance to specifications, engineering drawings, procedures and ISO-9001/AS9100.

The ability to work in a dynamic and fast paced environment and respond rapidly to emerging issues.

This role involves working in a cleanroom environment (dress in cleanroom attire, including head and facial coverings).

This position may require up to 10% overtime annually in support of program execution.

Basic Qualifications:

STEM degree at bachelors level or higher

Root Cause and Corrective Action Facilitation Experience

Ability to obtain a DoD Secret Security Clearance (This requires US Citizenship)

Desired Skills:

Experience with performing First Article Inspections (FAIs) to AS9102 requirements.

Six Sigma Green Belt certification

Strong understanding of AS9100 and ISO9001 Quality Management Systems

Experience with use of inspection gages, measuring equipment, and microscopes

Experience with JMP and/or other statistical software

Experience with Tableau and/or other data visualization tools

Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.

Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.

Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week

Pay Rate:

The annual base salary range for this position in California and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Washington or Washington DC is $64,400 - $123,400 . Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.

(Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.

This position is incentive plan eligible.

Pay Rate:

The annual base salary range for this position in most major metropolitan areas in California and New York is $74,000 - $139,400. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate’s work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.
