As a Sr. Technical Illustrator, you will have the opportuity to create imaginative technical illustrations for HVAC and intrusion security products. You will work closely with technical documentation, customer experience, and product development teams to research and produce illustrations for online, mobile, and print formats for multilingual global audiences. Additionally, you will produce original visual designs and layouts that consider the user experience within the broader product lifecycle using a variety of tools and technologies to create 2D and 3D line art, renderings, and infographics.

JOB DUTIES:

• Produce a wide range of illustrations including line drawings, exploded views, renderings, and 3D graphics and ensure that they are visually appealing.

• Design and produce infographics and layouts that visually explain complex concepts and procedures

• Determine style and format for illustrations used in installation guides, user manuals, websites, and packaging for pros and homeowners and ensure that they adhere to branding standards

• Develop Resideo product domain knowledge

• Manage and implement illustration translations.

• Manage and oversee illustration review, approval, and source control process.

YOU MUST HAVE:

• 3+ years working in interactive media, graphic design, mechanical illustration, or other relevant industry experience.

• Experience with publishing content for print, online, and mobile applications

• Experience with digital and print workflow including typography, vector and raster graphics, and color management.

• Mastery of Adobe products including Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and In Design

• Experience with 3D modeling software such as SolidWorks, Blender or similar tools.

• Familiarity with mechanical design inputs in a variety of formats including STL or DWG.

• Strong understanding of technical drawing standards and practices..
