We are seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineering Supervisor to join our team in Golden Valley, MN. This role involves leading the mechanical design, development, and optimization of Air and Comfort products while supervising a team of talented engineers.

Job Duties:

• Lead and mentor a team of 2 Mechanical Engineers, providing technical guidance and career development.

• Oversee new product development (NPI) efforts, manufacturing support, and continuous improvement initiatives.

• Spearhead the mechanical design and development of Air and Comfort products, ensuring they meet performance and quality requirements.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Electrical Engineering, Sourcing, Project Management, Product Management, and Product Quality.

• Work closely with electronics engineers to integrate Printed Circuit Board Assemblies (PCBAs) into mechanical enclosures for optimal performance and manufacturability.

• Utilize Creo CAD software to develop robust designs, considering factors such as material selection, manufacturability, and cost-efficiency.

• Lead the design and development of electronics enclosures and related products to ensure superior product performance.

You Must Have:

• 8+ years of professional mechanical engineering experience, with a focus on plastic and metal component design.

• Proven leadership experience, including mentoring team members and resolving design challenges.

• Demonstrated ability to review design mockups and provide constructive feedback to optimize solutions.

• Demonstrated thought leadership and strategic guidance within engineering teams.

• Expertise in mechanical engineering for product development, including electronics enclosures.

• Strong knowledge of manufacturability techniques for components in confined spaces.

• Proficiency in CAD software such as Creo or SolidWorks for 3D modeling and design.

• Analytical problem-solving skills for troubleshooting mechanical issues and optimizing performance.

• Excellent communication skills for collaborating with cross-functional teams and presenting technical concepts to stakeholders.

• Experience directing teams to achieve production, quality, and safety goals.

• Ability to support engineering disciplines, project teams, and field services with technical guidance and design troubleshooting.
