ABOUT THIS POSITION The selected intern will work with our Program Management Office to support various initiatives and projects, while gaining first-hand experience with cutting edge medical device technology. OPPORTUNITIES YOU WILL HAVE IN THIS ROLE The Program Management Office works with all other departments at Inspire to pull together the various project work within those departments toward the creation of products and services that create value for our customers. This role gives the Intern candidate a broader experience than most internships in that you will provide a leadership role while interacting and learning about all the departments in the company. The position is well suited for a candidate who is wanting to learn more about how companies work and how projects and programs link to strategy to fulfill the mission and vision of the company. Specifically, you will: Provide support to program managers in the leadership of new product development programs. Create program management automation tools related to planning, tracking, communicating, and executing projects. Develop management communication dashboards showing status of the portfolio of Inspire programs. Work across departments to troubleshoot roadblocks and overcome risks that keep programs from moving forward. QUALIFICATIONS Required Education and Experience: 2 years undergraduate schooling (or equivalent) in Computer Science, Biomedical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field Project Management Experience Demonstrated Leadership Skills Programming in Visual Basic for Applications, Python and/or C/C++ Excellent communication and problem-solving skills Experience creating visual artifacts / dashboards / A3 reports Preferred Experience: Undergraduate or graduate project management experience 0-2 years (or equivalent) towards a master's degree in a relevant field Experience with Smartsheets or similar Program Management Tools Experience with Statistical Modelling of Project Plans Inspire Medical Systems provides equal employment opportunity (EEO) to all employees and applicants without regard to race, color, religion, creed, sex, national origin, age, disability, marital status, familial status, sexual orientation, status regarding public assistance, membership or activity in a local commission, military or veteran status, genetic information, or any other status protected by applicable federal, state, and local laws.
