Inspire Medical Systems Inc. Academic Development Director in Golden Valley, Minnesota

The Academic Development Director will lead the Inspire Academic Development team to achieve its objective of ensuring that all ENT residency and Sleep Fellowship program directors are engaged and aware of Inspire educational opportunities for their residents/fellows, increasing attendance at Inspire education programs, and developing initiatives to facilitate a smooth transition to practice for graduating residents/fellows. This role will be responsible for developing the academic development team, monitoring metrics for program success, and identifying and implementing strategies to improve program success. The Academic Development Director will report to the VP of Medical Professional Marketing. MAIN DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES Lead and develop the academic development team Identify and implement best practices Establish and inspect team objectives Coach and build team skills to achieve goals Build strategic and operating plans and budgets for academic development Coordinate with other functions and stakeholders (field leadership, medical education, market access, training, etc.). Improve Inspire's understanding of and visibility to young physicians in ENT and Sleep Medicine specialty training programs. Meet and profile ENT residency & Sleep fellowship programs in the U.S. Build a knowledge base of the interests & career objectives of MDs in training Increase the number of academic centers that send residents & fellows to Inspire Institute sponsored programs. Build relationships with program directors within sleep medicine and sleep surgery training centers. Increase touch points for residents/fellows to gain experience working with Inspire patients and learn how Inspire excellence programs operate Guide local programs in target areas Connect young physicians with Inspire KOLs and recent graduates. Create initiatives to support residents & fellows as they transition to practice & through their first 6-12mo as attending physicians Connect residents & fellows with programs recruiting new attendings based on their location of interest. Facilitate a handoff to the local team supporting the new physician Build programs that help passionate young attending physicians to become future leaders/influencers Educational Requirements: Required: Bachelor's degree in business, nursing, science or engineering required.
