We are currently seeking a dependable and motivated Electrical Apprentice to join our team. This is a hands-on training opportunity under the guidance of experienced electricians, where you will gain the skills needed to build a long-term career in the electrical trade.
Job Summary:
As an Electrical Apprentice, you will assist in the installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems on Excel Electric projects. Working under the supervision of a licensed journeyman or master electrician, you will receive on-the-job training while actively participating in our apprenticeship program.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist with electrical installations and repairs according to job specifications and safety codes. Follow instructions from the job foreman, crew leader, or project manager. Prepare and organize materials and tools needed for each job. Maintain a clean and orderly job site. Safely operate hand and power tools while protecting company equipment. Accurately track work hours and project time in the company system. Attend company meetings and actively support safety policies and procedures. Participate in emergency service calls as needed.
Qualifications:
Willingness to learn and develop electrical trade skills. Strong work ethic and ability to follow instructions. Reliable and punctual with a commitment to safety. Ability to work in various conditions, including confined spaces and heights. Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
Working Conditions:
Must be able to stand, kneel, bend, crouch, or work at heights for extended periods. Ability to lift and carry 50+ lbs regularly. Manual dexterity and ability to work with hand tools. Vision requirements: ability to see details at close range, distinguish colors, and read blueprints.
Schedule & Compensation:
Hours: Monday - Friday, 7:30 AM - 4:00 PM (may vary based on job requirements). Pay: Hourly (based on experience & qualifications).
