PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

Communications & Marketing Campaign Support

Develop and update marketing assets for campaigns using templates built by the Communications & Marketing department.

Support campus events through communication with the Mines community, tabling events, email newsletter distribution, etc.

Aid in the set-up and ongoing monitoring of marketing campaigns, ensuring they align with budget allocations, run as expected, and deliver expected results.

Coordinate internal events such as video and photo shoots, as well as occasional campus tabling opportunities, to support promotional and recruitment efforts.

Moderate submissions for communication tools around campus, including digital displays and the campus events calendar.

Project Management

Develop project timelines, outline deliverables, and manage project progress using Monday.com to ensure timely and efficient completion of marketing and communications initiatives.

Track equipment, office supplies, swag items, subscriptions, and hardware used by the Office of Communications and Marketing, and anticipatereplacements or replenishments as needed.

Track campaign budgets, ensuring expenditures are within allocated amounts and provide regular updates to team.

Track, process and document advertising invoices and payments, ensuring accurate and timely payment to vendors and advertising platforms.

Communications & Marketing Department Coordination

Coordinate meetings for the Office of Communications and Marketing to meet with and support internal stakeholders for campus initiatives.

Support the development and maintenance of department resources, such as the project management tool, digital asset management system, etc.

Conduct research on potential advertising opportunities, including outreach to vendors for media kits, pricing, etc.

Minimum Qualifications

One or more years of relevant experience in marketing or communications

Bachelor's degree in communications, marketing, journalism, business or a related field. Relevant and related work experience may be substituted on a year-for-year basis for the education requirement.

Understanding of basic design principles, such as alignment, balance and contrast

Professional communication style in writing and verbally

Proficient in Microsoft Office, specifically PowerPoint and Word

General understanding of social media platforms, such as Instagram and Facebook

Preferred Qualifications

Higher education or agency experience preferred

Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification

Experience in Adobe Creative Suite, Marq, Canva or a similar design product

Experience in project management tools such as Monday.com

Salary and Benefits $56,800 - $64,500
