Description We are seeking a Payroll Accountant to join our team in Gloucester, Massachusetts. In this role, you will be tasked with handling payroll related accounting tasks, using ADP and other accounting software systems, and managing payrolls for a medium-sized workforce. This role offers a short term contract employment opportunity.

Responsibilities:

• Utilize ADP and other financial services to manage payroll processes.

• Oversee bi-monthly payroll for a workforce of 101 - 500 employees.

• Execute various accounting functions including accrual accounting.

• Maintain the general ledger in compliance with standard accounting principles.

• Handle international payroll, ensuring compliance with overseas tax and labor laws.

• Leverage accounting software systems to optimize payroll management.

• Resolve any payroll discrepancies and address employee payroll inquiries.

• Ensure accurate and timely processing of payroll updates including new hires, terminations, and changes to pay rates.

• Prepare and submit reports with payroll information to the supervisor.

• Stay updated with the latest payroll trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, payroll systems, and data privacy. Requirements • Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems is essential.

• Familiarity with ADP - Financial Services is required.

• Experience with ADP Workforce Now is needed.

• Competence in various Accounting Functions is crucial.

• Knowledge of Accrual Accounting is important.

• Ability to handle bi-Monthly Payroll is a must.

• Understanding of General Ledger is necessary.

• Experience in International Payroll is desired.

• Capability to manage Payroll for 101 - 500 Employees is required.
