IFF is very excited to welcome a new Service Center Sourcing Specialist – Category support to our team, and we hope it’s you!

Purpose of this role:

He/she should provide a connection between the Center of Excellence and the Category teams, participating in the Category Team meetings supporting them with market information, supplier performance analysis and new opportunities. This position will also ensure processes compliance regarding contract management, bidding initiatives and procurement KPIs. For other areas, he/she will act as an ambassador for Procurement being a valued business partner across the organization.

Main tasks and responsibilities:

  • Analyse contract information (due date, remaining qty, payment terms) and share it with category stakeholders to support decisions making.

  • Participate in strategic category meetings, supporting the category with relevant inputs to build/refresh material strategies within the category. Develop expertise on the portfolio to provide support to the category team in terms of market intelligence: seeking info within the current partners and gathering info from external resources (price indexes, terms, supply and demand status, trends…)

  • Ensure all the processes within its scope follow up company SOPs and best practices, so that they’re compliant. Support process standardization (RFx, etc), KPIs follow up, report and other ad hoc category-specific activities.

  • Analyse supplier performance and provide inputs to the category in relation to this topic, including new suppliers' identification for the category.

  • Support supplier onboarding process through the IT systems stablished by the company.

  • Ensure price lists are updated.

  • Establish relationships with stakeholders and frequent requestors and act as an ambassador for Procurement.

Job Requirements

Requirements:

  • Master’s or bachelor’s degree

  • Advanced English

  • 2 years' experience in purchasing.

  • Ability to work under pressure

  • Fast learner

  • Networking; ability to effectively work with a wide variety of organizations and people

  • Flexibility to get rapidly adjusted to new situations in a continuous changing environment.

Preferred:

  • Graduate degree: MBA, Supply Chain and material science related graduate degrees.

  • ERP (SAP, Oracle…) MS office

  • Previous experience with public indexes/ publications/subscription analysis

  • Engaging cross-functionally (R&D, Commercial, Creation, Production, Quality, etc)

  • Experience identifing, developing and promoting new and existing supplier relationships.

  • Strong communication skills (written and oral) in English and global interaction

  • Team leadership / project management / analytical skills
