WTW Global Data Governance Lead in New York, New York

Summary

As the Data Governance Lead specializing in data standardization, your primary responsibility is to ensure the consistent, accurate, and compliant management of H&Bs global data asset. You will develop and implement robust data governance frameworks, policies, and procedures to enhance data quality, integrity, and security. Working closely with our Enterprise Data Governance Lead, cross-functional teams, data experts and data consumers throughout the H&B business, you will work with the Global Technical Data Management Lead to harmonize disparate data sources, establish data standards, and optimize data processes to meet regulatory requirements and business objectives.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive data governance strategy aligned with organizational goals and regulatory requirements. Define clear objectives, KPIs, and milestones for data standardization initiatives.

  • Develop and implement data governance policies and procedures in alignment and through collaboration with the WTW Enterprise Data Governance Lead

  • Own and govern the data domains for H&B and align domain owners through the business globally

  • Establish data quality standards and metrics to monitor and improve the accuracy, completeness, and consistency of medical insurance data. Implement data profiling and cleansing processes to identify and rectify data anomalies and discrepancies.

  • Regularly review and audit data quality, addressing any issues promptly.

  • Develop metrics and KPIs to monitor data quality.

  • Monitor compliance with data protection laws such as GDPR, HIPAA, etc., especially in different geographical regions.

  • Work closely with IT, legal, privacy and business teams to ensure alignment of data governance with business objectives and technological capabilities.

  • Facilitate communication and collaboration between H&B, WTW Enterprise and other LOBs and regions to ensure a unified approach to data governance.

  • Define and manage data access protocols to ensure secure and appropriate data usage.

  • Lead change management initiatives related to data governance.

  • Stay abreast of advancements in data governance technologies and methodologies.

  • Maintain comprehensive documentation on data governance policies, procedures, and standards.

  • Continually assess the data governance framework for improvements and adapt to evolving business needs and technological changes.

Qualifications

  • 10+ years' experience in Health and Benefits consulting and with a strong knowledge of both operational and client data

  • Attention to detail and interest in the use of data as an enabler to drive growth

  • Proven experience in data governance, preferably in a global context.

  • Strong understanding of data privacy laws and compliance requirements.

  • Excellent communication and leadership skills.

  • Ability to work effectively across different regions and teams.

Compensation and Benefits

Base salary range and benefits information for this position are being included in accordance with requirements of various state/local pay transparency legislation. Please note that salaries may vary for different individuals in the same role based on several factors, including but not limited to location of the role, individual competencies, education/professional certifications, qualifications/experience, performance in the role and potential for revenue generation (Producer roles only).

Compensation

The base compensation range being offered for this role is $150,000 - $200,000 USD per year.

This role is also eligible for an annual short term bonus incentive.
