Position Summary:

Reporting to the Head of Solutions or COE Lead, this position is responsible for developing the NYL Group Benefits Solutions correspondence strategy, roadmap, and executing plans in support of client, broker, and customer communications across all products (Life, Disability, Absence, and Voluntary Benefits.)

This individual must exhibit strong leadership skills such as the ability to partner, lead, influence, and listen to develop a winning strategy based on market needs. The ideal candidate is strategic but can map out and deliver short term wins in support of growth targets and experience.

Responsibilities:

  • Owns the development of strategic vision forNYL Group Benefits Solutions correspondence in support of client, broker, and customer communications across all products (Life, Absence, Disability, and Voluntary Benefits.)

  • Drives assessment of current state of correspondence, identification of gaps and created recommendation of future processes, and alignment of correspondence across GBS.

  • Builds and owns a multi-year roadmap of correspondence deliverables related to capabilities to achieve differentiation and meet market need. Responsible for making business cases seeking organizational buy-in and funding to support priorities.

  • Understands market dynamics, including market evolution, emerging trends, and the competitive landscape. Leverage knowledge to evolve strategy, roadmaps, and overall direction.

  • Establishes clear guidelines and playbook of various channels of correspondence, when they are used, and how they are best executed at a product level to maximize the client, broker, and customer experience.

  • Partners with multiple stakeholders internally across Solutions, Operations, IT, Legal, Compliance, etc, to support the execution of deliverables meet business expectations including privatization of all communications PI planning efforts and defect prioritization and resolution via partnership with IT.

  • Ensures product, services and capabilities are delivered on time, on budget, and are meeting business expectations and market needs.

  • Leads and mentors team of direct and indirect team members in the design, development, and execution of new and enhanced solutions.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree with at least 7+ years of insurance experience.

  • Strong relationship building with matrix partners and 3 rd party vendors; experienced in driving change through large, complex organizations.

  • Prior experience managing, engaging, and leading a high performing team to successful outcomes.

  • Future mindset, but willingness to jump in, own work and make meaningful progress.

  • Demonstrated strong analytical and problem-solving skills; ability to innovate and willingness to test and learn.

  • Strong understanding of data analytics and data logic driving complex scenarios and correspondence that varies based on products, services, etc, driving accurate outputs.

  • Proven ability to deliver results. Established skillset to leverage market knowledge, data, and feedback to consult and make future recommendations to leadership.
