The Cloud Storage Lead will be responsible for overseeing and managing the cloud storage infrastructure within the Federal Financial Regulatory environment. The role ensures the efficient, scalable, and reliable operation of cloud storage services across AWS and Azure platforms, supporting the organization’s mission-critical data storage and management needs. Key responsibilities include:

· Oversee the daily operations of cloud storage infrastructure, including the management of storage accounts, S3 buckets, Blob storage, and related resources in AWS and Azure

· Ensure optimal performance, availability, and scalability of cloud storage solutions to meet the organization’s data storage requirements

· Ensure the security of cloud storage by implementing and managing access controls, encryption, and data protection policies

· Develop and maintain comprehensive data backup and disaster recovery plans for cloud storage

· Conduct regular tests of backup and recovery processes to ensure data integrity and availability

· Lead the response to cloud storage-related incidents, ensuring timely resolution and minimal impact on business operations

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent relevant work experience; Master’s Degree preferred

• Professional level cloud certification/s in either AWS, Microsoft Azure, OCI, Google Cloud.

• Architect level certification a plus

• 12+ years of IT experience with a combination of:

• 5+ years of cloud engineering experience, working with one or more vendor platforms.

• 5+ years experience debugging Microsoft Windows or Linux based operating systems in an administrative/support/engineering capacity

• Strong oral and written communication skills;· Strong organizational skills;· Knowledge of software designed data centers (SDDC) methodologies and best practices;· Flexibility to be available during non-business hours for projects, maintenance and non-planned emergency events;· Ability to multitask in a fast paced, high tech environment;· Ability to write and publish effective end-user technical documentation;· A passionate attention to detail;· Knowledge of cloud platform orchestration layer tools and automation tools · Proven experience working with compute platforms
