The Computer Vision Application Engineer I supports customers under close supervision by preparing

feasibility studies of their projects and handling their technical inquires related to Zebra machine vision

products, as well as contributes to the product development by preparing official examples and

documentation

Responsibilities:

• Conducts feasibility studies under the supervision of higher-level Application Engineers.

• Serves as Tier 1 technical support for partners and customers.

• Prepares official examples and documentation for Zebra machine vision software.

• Learns to conduct technical trainings and seminars for internal and external audience.

• Tests compatibility of Zebra’s machine vision software with third-party hardware.

• Verifies bug reports provided by customers; works with customers to specify reproduction

steps.

• Assists in designing stations demonstrating capabilities of Zebra’s machine vision products.

• Typically receives detailed instructions on routine work, new projects, or assignments.

Qualifications:

• Minimum Education: Bachelor degree in automation control, computer science, mechatronics or

similar field

• Minimum Work Experience (years): no work experience needed

• Key Skills and Competencies:

  • Basic understanding of image processing algorithms

  • Basic understanding of imaging hardware: illumination, optics and cameras

  • Strong communication skills and a high level of problem-solving skills

  • Basic knowledge of C++ or C#

  • Basic knowledge of industrial communication protocols

  • Basic knowledge of machine learning concepts and metrics

  • Knowledge of Linux operating system is an advantage
