FARSTAD OIL INC CDL Fuel Transport Driver in GLENDIVE, Montana
QUALIFICATIONS INCLUDE:
- Valid Class A CDL, with Tanker and Hazmat endorsements
- Current DOT Medical Card
- Clean driving record
- Ability to satisfactorily complete a pre-employment DOT drug screen and background check
- Ability to drive/work in all traffic and weather conditions
- Ability and willingness to work up to 14-hour days, 70-hour weeks
- Proficient verbal communication skills and ability to listen, understand and follow directions
- Attention to detail and high level of accuracy
- Ability to manage priorities and workflow
- Ability to make timely, safe and sound decisions
- Flexibility to work within constantly changing priorities
- Ability to do basic math
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment in a professional manner
- TWIC preferred, but not required
DUTIES INCLUDE:
- Transport and deliver loaded and empty tanker, bulk, semi and van trucks in a professional, safe, efficient, timely and legal manner
- Hook and unhook trailers, operate pumps and valves to fill tanks using various hoses, nozzles and fittings
- Ensure all products, hoses and other tools are secured using approved securing method, such as tie downs, straps, etc.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip safety inspection of truck, trailer and equipment; report all concerns, defects, incidents or damage immediately
- Keep trucks and equipment clean and maintained, report any issues immediately
- Provide excellent customer service to our customers and ensure accuracy and timeliness of deliveries
- Monitor key performance data to anticipate customer service issues and opportunities, report issues to supervisor, and follow up in a timely manner
- Represent the company to our customers, the public and the trucking industry in a professional manner always
- Coordinate with management, dispatchers, customers and fellow employees in a professional manner to ensure customer fulfillment, and address and resolve issues or concerns
- Maintain a positive working relationship with management, dispatchers, customers and fellow employees to ensure customer's needs are met
- Accurately complete all required paperwork, working hours, or vehicle service/repair status and maintain records required under Company, State and Federal Laws and Regulations
- Always demonstrate safe work and risk management practices; communicate, enforce and report all safety and security issues or incidents
- Utilize uniforms and PPE appropriately, and follow driving rules and laws
- Ensure confidentiality of data collection and storage
- May assist in warehouse or other related duties as required including loading/unloading of product using hand trucks, forklift, pallet jacks, etc.
- Set priorities to plan/complete work assignments, coordinate with others to meet deadlines
- Perform other duties as assigned
Full-time position, working five days per week.
$25.50 per hour; $85,000 - $100,00 annual earning potential. Up to $2,000 sign-on bonus, depending on experience.
