As part of the Studio Technology team you'll be joining a group of seasoned, dedicated technologists solving a range of interesting problems in innovative ways in an exciting and dynamic industry.

We are seeking a full-stack Senior Software Engineer for the Theatrical Systems Technology team to develop new features for a theater management system.

The Senior Software Engineer will report to the Manager, Technology Solutions at The Walt Disney Studios.

• Maintain and extend file storage and transfer solutions using tools such as Aspera and FTP.

• Maintain and extend JavaScript libraries and build new interfaces with TypeScript.

• Work with AWS cloud services to support the flow of assets through the system.

• Produce quality code through unit tests, automation, and code reviews.

• Involved in the full span of the application lifecycle, focusing on coding, solving, and devising solutions to intricate challenges.

Skills and Requirements

• 7 plus years of professional software development expertise.

• Experience with TypeScript and Node.

• Experience with technologies including C++, Kubernetes and AWS, and Git.

• Experience with NoSQL and SQL databases.

• Demonstrated ability to craft, develop, and maintain APIs and backend services.

• Eagerness to tackle new challenges and balance multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced setting.

• BA or BS in related field or equivalent experience - Familiarity with the digital cinema ecosystem.

• Experience with Perl on Apache.

• Experience with Datadog.

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

• Effectively communicate across all levels of the organization.

• Ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical people.

• Pro-active and possess a hands-on, collaborative working style.

• Ability to work across teams and segments and negotiate responsibilities.

• Action oriented with high standards for quality and performance.
