Parson’s is now hiring a Senior Facility/Site Mechanical Engineer (LW) with a strong passion for innovation, creativity, and experience working with cutting-edge technology. This opportunity will place you in the middle of a fun and entertaining environment with magic around every corner. This role would be based in Glendale, CA (onsite)

Job Specific Scope:

  • Responsible for mechanical engineering design, analysis, and calculations for large or highly complex projects at the land level, or projects that require advanced HVAC, plumbing, and site mechanical expertise.

  • Perform peer reviews of the work product of other department staff.

  • Serve as a plumbing/site mechanical subject matter expert and mentor to junior staff.

  • Organize and develop project HVAC and plumbing design criteria and engineering work plans for projects of varying complexity.

  • Oversee consultant design work for the plumbing and the site mechanical scope of work.

  • Preparing utility master planning documents for Pre-BlueSky and BlueSky level projects.

Technical Skills:

  • Graduate of an accredited school of engineering with a Bachelor of Science degree.

  • 10 or more years of work experience in mechanical engineering, with emphasis on HVAC plumbing and site mechanical design.

  • Theme Park mechanical engineering experience is highly desirable.

  • Familiarity with show mechanical and special effects systems is highly desirable.

  • Experience in Central Energy Plant design is required.

General Requirements:

  • Full-time support with office hours per WDI campus schedule.

  • Ability to work independently without supervision.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE: Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (or related field) and typically 10+ years of related work experience. In addition, an Engineer-in-Training (EIT) Certificate may be required.

Salary Range:

$81,500.00 - $161,400.00
